Biography

Joan (Llewelyn) Williams was born in Monmouthshire, Wales.

Joan was born about 1800.

She married Zephaniah Williams on 09 Aug 1819 in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.^[1]

In the 1841 census Joan (age 40) was in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, Wales.^[2]

In the 1851 census Joan (age 52) was the head of household in Caerphilly, Glamorgan, Wales.^[3]

They had the children: Llewellyn, Jane (1825), Thomas (1826) and Rhoda (1827). ^[4]

She moved to Tasmania in Australia together with her daughter, to live with her husband that had been depoted to there in 1840.^[5]

She died on 22 Nov 1863 in Devonport, Tasmania, Australia,^[6] and was buried in East devonport Anglican, St paul cemetery.^[7] Photo of grave on findagrave.com.^[8]
