Biography

Mrs. Fanny Duberly is most well known for "A Journal Kept During the Russian War", an account of her experiences during the Crimean War which she had published in December 1855.^[1]

Fanny was born on 27 September 1828 and baptised on 6 February 1829 in the Parish of Bromham, Wiltshire, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of Wadham Locke and Ann Maria Selina Powell.^{[2] [3]}

On 21 February 1850 Fanny (age 21) married Henry Duberly in the Parish Church in New Alresford, Southampton, England, United Kingdom.^[4][5]

Fanny died at the age of 74 on 19 November 1902 residing in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom and her estate passed probate on 21 April 1903 in London.^[6][7]
