René II d'Elbeuf married Louise de Rieux (1531-1570), daughter of Claude de Rieux and Suzanne de Bourbon-Montpensier. Children:
René de Lorraine, knight of the order of the king, marquis d'Elbeuf, was the seventh son of Claude de Lorraine, Duke of Guise, and Antoinette de Bourbon. He was born on August 14, 1536[1]. He was general of the galleys of France.
On February 3, 1554, he married Louise de Rieux, daughter of Claude de Rieux Count of Harcourt, and Suzanne de Bourbon-Montpensier[1]. They had:
Charles of Lorraine, Duke of Elbeuf Marie de Lorraine, wife of Charles de Lorraine, Duke of Aumale, her cousin[1].
René d'Elbeuf died in 1566, aged 30[1].
