How "about" is her birth year? Any chance it could be 4 years earlier, 1848? I'm researching a Mary Lowcock born in Yorkshire in 1848 who, at some point, emigrated to the US, and became my GGG-grandfather's 2nd wife in 1876. I haven't yet made a wikitree profile for her, and wanted to first see if there's a chance your Mary is the same person.

Hi Alan

Regret not. The census for 1861 clearly shows her as being born in Addington in Yorkshire and with parents Charles & Elizabeth (Wrigglesworth) Lowcock There are possibilities you may wish to consider at 1853 at Doncaster and 1849 at Keighley as well as many in Lancashire including 1849 Barrowfield, Burnley, 1848 Hebergham Eaves, Burnley and about another dozen in early 1850s Good hunting Peter
