Biography

William was born about 1892. He was the son of William Lowndes and Margaret Moody. He studied at Cambridge, was injured in the First World War, became a Roman Catholic priest and died in 1929 after falling off a horse.

Priest Killed.
Falling from a horse which he was riding in Henley Road, Ipswich, yesterday, Father William Parker Lowndes, a priest at St. Pancras Roman Catholic Church, Ipswich, received injuries from which he died.

In 1884 he married Margaret, daughter of Major-General and Mrs. Moody, of Lyme Regis, Dorset, and of their four children, the youngest son, the Rev. William Parker Lowndes, a priest in the R.C. Church at Ipswich, died about 12 years ago from the effects of wounds received in the Great War, while serving with the Hon. Artillery Company.
