Biography

Alexander was born in 1865.^[1] He was the son of Con Lynch^[1] and Mary McDaid.^[1] When he married he was recorded as a rigger in a boat yard but ten years later he was a 'wire man' and a 'telegraph foreman' by 1911.

He married Ellen Doherty in 1891. By 1911 they had had five children, four of them surviving.

The family moved to County Louth from Londonderry, presumably due to Alexander's job.

He passed away in 1950.
