Elizabeth Alice Maddock was born in 1849 in Crewe, Cheshire, England, United Kingdom, daughter of Jacob Maddock (~1823– ) and Mary Ann Morecroft (~1824– ).[1] In the 1851 census, Elizabeth (age 1) was the daughter of Jacob Maddock in Monks Coppenhall, Cheshire, England.[2]
Elizabeth (15) married Alfred Giles Crofts (21) (born about July 13, 1844 in Dover, Kent) on October 26, 1865 in Hougham, Kent. Their children were:
- Emma Louisa Crofts (1867–1910)
- Alice Crofts (~1869– )
- Edith Mary Crofts (1871–1888)
- Alfred Crofts (1873–1911)
- Arthur Crofts (1875– )
- Charles Frederick Crofts (1877– )
Elizabeth died in 1878 in Dover, Kent, England, aged 28.[3]
