Biography

He was the son of Charles E. and Alpha (Talley) Mahaffey.

He was employed by Delco Remy for 34 years, retiring in 1989. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and his dog, Ciera.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Mahaffey; and a sister, Mary Louise McCowan. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tim Warrum officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Pleasant Valley Church in Middletown.

Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
