Biography
Cornelius was the son of David Mahony of Knockavony in county Kerry.[1]
Children from his first marriage were:[1]
- John, eldest son, died 1739
- Dennis (1675-1764) married Honoria Sheahane
- James (1693-1740) married Honoria Cronin in 1718
- Honoria married Thomas Fitzgerald
- Margaret married Richard Barry.
His second marriage was to Mary, the daughter of the Knight of Glin Gerald FitzGerald. They had David and Ellen/ Elinor.[1]
Cornelius made his will on 24th September 1722 and died soon afterwards.[1]
