In 1901 the Allen family were living in Ballinasollus, Robert 45 farmer, Fanny 45 N.S. Teacher, Mary 10, Sarah Anne 8, Margaret Elizabeth 7, Edith 5, Frances Kate 3, Susan 2 months and a general servant Mary Anne Hopper 30.[1]
