Clay (22) married Lois Andrews (22) (born on March 23, 1902 in Canada) on June 30, 1924 in Middletown, Saratoga, New York, United States.
Clay died on June 16, 1965 in Boulder, Boulder, Colorado, United States, aged 63. He is commemorated at Mountain View Memorial Park, Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado.[2]

Professor of Political Science, University of Colorado at Boulder, serving on the faculty from 1936 to 1963. BA, Duke University (1928); MA, Columbia University (1929) master's essay: World Politics and William Randolph Hearst; PhD, Harvard University (1936)- thesis: The Foundations of Industrial Peace. During World War II he served as a consultant to the War Labor Board. Publications included Labor Policy Under Democracy (1939). Awarded the first University of Colorado Thomas Jefferson Award- in 1962- for distinguished contributions through his personal influence, teaching, writing, and scholarship. Clay Packer Malick was the son of Henry Clay Malick and Mary Snyder Malick.
