W. T. Mansfield, better known as "Blind Billie," who was raised in this county, and formerly lived at Wickliffe for several years, died in Cairo, Ill., of Cancer of the face last Thursday night. His remains were brought to Wickliffe Saturday and laid to rest in the city cemetery. he leaves one brother J. L. Mansfield, of Oscar. He received burns about the face when a small boy, from which he lost the sight of both eyes, but he was always cheerful. He was a musician of some note, and many have "tripped the light fantastic" to his wonderful notes of the violin. "Blind Billie" was always a favorite with our people, especially those of the terpsichorean art, who will miss him very much. The Advance extends condolence to the sorrowing friends.
