Biography

Elsie Eva Marshman (married name Hortip) was born in 1890 in Warracknabeal, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Albert Lemuel Marshman (1867-1932) and Rosa Annie Milton (1870-1942). ^[1]

In 1918, in Victoria, she married Albert Edward Hortip (1887-1960). ^[2] Two children are known:—

Irene May Hortip (1919–?)^[3]

Elsie Mavis Hortip (1921–?) ^[4]

Arthur died in 1960.

Elsie died in 1974^[5] at Mount Martha, Victoria, aged 83 [83y 9m 8d]. ^[6] Parents listed on the death index as Rose Milton and Albert Marshman.

Her remains were buried with Arthur's at Mount Moriac Cemetery.^[5]
