Biography

Mary was born about 1861, parents Frederick "Fritz" Martz and Sarah.

In 1870 the Martz family lived in Sidney, Shelby, Ohio. ^[1] Fredric Martz (35) Boot & Shoe Maker from Baden Germany and Sollie Martz (36) with children Kate Martz (10), Mary Martz (8), Caroline Martz (6), Charlie Martz (4) & Anna Martz (1)

In 1880 the Martz family lived in Sidney, Shelby, Ohio. ^[2] Frederick Martz (46) Shoemaker and Sarah Martz (46) both from Germany with children Kate Martz (20), Charles Martz (14), Anna Martz (11) and Mary Martz (19).

Mary Martz married Carley Gass about 1888.

In 1910 ^[3] Mary Gaus (48) lived with her widowed father, Fritz Martz (75) Shoemaker, in Miami Street, Sidney Ward 1, Shelby, Ohio. Mary was divorced and her parents were born in Germany.

In 1930 ^[4] Mary Gass (67) widowed, was a lodger living in Clinton, Shelby, Ohio with Louis C Yeager (70) & her sister Anna C Yeager (61).

She passed away in 1936 and was buried at the Graceland Cemetery.
