Biography
Birth
Maria Masey was born in Little Tew, Oxfordshire and baptised at St Michael and All Angels, Great Tew, Oxfordshire on 25th November 1810.[1] She was the daughter of Richard and Sarah.
Marriage
Samuel Andrews and Maria Mazey were married by licence at St Michael and All Angels, Great Tew, Oxfordshire on 1st April 1831.[2] They were both of the parish of Little Tew, and it was noted on the register that Maria was a minor. Neither could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross and the witnesses to the marriage were John Brain and Richard Brain. There have been three different spelling forher maiden name. ie Moss, Maisey, Mazy and Masey, which has hindered research into the family
