Biography
Mary Ann, daughter of John Mates and Ann Garratt , was baptized 5th March 1803 at St Margaret's , Angmering .
She married Stonemason Thomas Mitchell at St Mary's , Goring-by-Sea .
,[1] married Thomas Mitchell in 1826.[2]
They emigrated to Upper Canada (Ontario) as part of the Petworth Immigration Scheme.[3][4]
