Biography
Marie Lucie Mathieu was born on 14 May 1895 in St-Méthode-d'Adstock, the daughter of Napoléon Mathieu, farmer, and Athalie Gagné. She was baptised the same day with Roger Poulin, her uncle, and Marie Mathieu, her aunt, both of St-Méthode. Neither signed, and her father was absent[1].
On 19 Nov 1912 Stanislas Dorval, adult son of Stanislas Dorval and the late Delima Breton from St-Evariste, married Marie Mathieu, minor daughter of Napoléon Mathieu and Nathalie Gagné, in Saint-Méthode-d'Adstock. Witnessed by the bride's father and the groom's father. Signed by the bride, groom, Henry Poulin, Jean Mathieu, Christy Dubreiul, Trefflé Dorval, Valéda Dorval, and Delcia Dorval[2].
Household in the 1921 Census for St-Evariste-de-Forsyth, Beauce, Quebec[3]: Badly indexed under "Darsal, Stanislas Vels" instead of "Dorval, Stanislas, fils", and he's listed as widowed, even though it's clearly 'M' for married.

Research Notes
Don't confuse her father Napoléon Mathieu with another Napoléon Mathieu, a distant cousin, who was baptised about a week later in the same place.
