William was born in 1812, the son of Thomas Maunsell and Caroline Cockayne. He was christened at Rushton, Northamptonshire 13 September 1812[1]. He passed away in 1862[2][3] and was buried 17 March at Thorpe Malsor[4].
William attended Eton School; became a barrister at law and Recorder of Stamford[5].

Effects under £1,500. Resworn December 1874 under £25,000"
