Catherine was born about 1802 on Saint Helena. She was baptised 30 May 1802 at St James, daughter of John McCarrel and Kitty Narin, free.

29 Apr 1820 - Thomas Northam, St Helena Artillery married Spinster Catherine McCarrol at St James.
