Biography
Robert was born about 1851 in County Monaghan, Ireland. His father was John Mclean, a farmer.
Robert aged 27 emigrated to America in 1869 with his brother, John. They sailed from Liverpool on the Idaho.
The brothers stayed with their relatives, the James M. Lees, in Wahoo Nebraska.
Robert worked on the Lee Ferry Line operating the ferry across the Platte River south of Fremont.
In 1872 he returned to Ireland where he married Mary Carson[1][1]
