Biography

Ellen McCommons was born on November 16, 1856 in Eldon, Missouri to Stanhope McCommons and Julia Youngblood.^[1]

On January 5, 1877, Ellen married Alexander McClain in Miller County, Missouri.^[2]

According to the 1880 census, Ellen lived with Alexander and their child, Jennie, in Glaize Twp in Miller County, Missouri.^[3]

According to the 1900 census, Ellen lived with Alexander and their children, William, Charles, Lena, Alonzo, Joseph Milton, Ida, Eunice, Alice, Bernice and Ruby in Glaze Twp in Miller County, Missouri.^[4]

According to the 1910 census, Ellen lived with Alexander lived with their children, Alonzo, Joseph Milton, Eunice, Alice, Bernice, Ruby and his cousin Berry in Glaze Twp in Miller County, Missouri.^[5]
