Biography

Jessier Eugenia McCurley, born on November 20, 1902, in Hoxie, Lawrence County, Arkansas, was the daughter of Richard Monroe McCurley and Hattie A. (Elkins) McCurley. Growing up in Boas Township, Lawrence County, Arkansas, she embarked on a journey that would shape her life.

In the 1920s, Jessie worked as a sales lady at a grocery store, demonstrating early on her dedication and work ethic. On February 26, 1925, she married Horace William Wright, establishing a lifelong partnership.

As the years passed, Jessie experienced different chapters of her life. In 1935, she resided in her hometown of Hoxie, Lawrence County, Arkansas. By 1940, she and her family had moved to Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.

In later years, Jessie made her home in Spring Valley, San Diego County, California, where she resided until her passing.
