Biography

Peter was born in 1945. He lived his earlier life in New Plymouth and helped to raise his younger sisters Joy and Yvonne when the y were little, until they were all fostered out when he was about 10 years old.

He was fostered by the Shilcocks in Hawera and was abused by their son in all ways and had an horrific experience whilst living with them. He moved to Petone when he could get away at about 16yrs.

He had contact with his dad, Harold, again who was working in the Post Office building in Wellington Central.

Eventually he moved back to New Plymouth and met Carol Snowden in 1968. They married on 2 nov 1968 as they were expecting their first child, Fiona. Grant, Andrea and Brian completed their family. Carol and Peter separated in 1986 unofficially and were divorced legally in 1989. He never remarried but had friendships with partners over the years but passed away whilst living in Riverside Rest home, New Plymouth as a single man.

He passed away on 2 mar 2022 of a triple "A"...Abdominal Aortic Aneurism as did his brother Ivan, on 10 july 2022. Peter also lost his sister, Yvonne, to cancer on 2 july 2022.
