Biography

Roy was born in January of 1885. He was the son of Alexander McDonell and Catherine Campbell. His date of birth, as it appeared in the 1901 Census in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, matches the birth date in his obituary that is in the image on the Find A Grave memorial. ^{[1] [2]}

The obituary on the FAG site describes Roy's adventurous life in British Columbia, after having spent some of his earlier years building railroads, first in Ontario and then out west.

Roy died in 1963 and is buried in the Smithers Cemetery in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada. ^[2]
