Margaret "Maggie" McGillivray, daughter of Alexander and Mary McGillivray, was born on September 16, 1880 in Ontario, Canada.[1][2][3] Her father was a farmer.
Maggie had two sisters:
As of 1901, Magaret was living in Huntsville, Ontario, with her parents and sisters.[1] Her father was was working as a school janitor and his earnings were $300.[1] Her 14 year old sister, Mary, wasn't attending school and couldn't read or write, but could speak English.[1]
Her father died in 1907 and her mother in 1932.[3]
Mary died in 1963.[2][3] She was buried in Nashville Cemetery in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.[2][3] Her gravestone is located in the Centre Section, Row 7, Marker 13, facing east, and at GPS coordinates: 43.834834, -79.661851.[2]
