Biography

Paul McGowan was a son of Anna Griffin and John H. McGowan.

Mr. McGowan had been a reporter and county editor for the former York Gazette and Daily, now the York Daily Record, retiring in 1979. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a 1934 graduate of York Catholic High School; a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in York.

Mr. McGowan is survived by two daughters; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
