GILLIES. — On the 23rd April, 1917, at her residence, 184 Myers street Isabella, dearly beloved wife of Donald and loving mother of R., M., J., I. M., S.E., and A. A. Gillies; Mrs. D. Jackson, Mrs. W. Marquis, Mrs. S. Garvin and Mrs. W. Garvin. Aged 72 years. Beloved by all.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Isabella Gillies took place yesterday to the Bendigo railway station, en route to the place of interment in the Boort cemetery. It was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. The coffin-bearers were Messrs. J. Meagher, D. M'Vean, T. Angus, and V. Fattorini. Mr. H. M'Neary held a brief service at the home prior to the funeral moving, and he also officiated at the grave. A large collection of floral and artificial tokens of sympathy was received. The deceased lady, who was 72 years of age, was born in Inverness, Scotland, and was a colonist for 66 years. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved widower and family of four sons and daughters in the loss of a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mr. W. H. Oakley had charge of the funeral arrangements.
