Note In Queensland in 1987, the parents of Daphne Goldthorpe (born Foley) were identified as Austin Foley and Annie Stone. This may be because Annie was born (in 1898) before her parents were married (in 1899), so her birth may well have been originally recorded under Stone, her mother's maiden name. However, the NSW BDM Index for Annie's birth records her surname as McManus.

At the R.C. Church, Casino, on l0th July last, a quiet wedding was celebrated by the Rev. Father Barry, B. A., the contracting parties being Annie, daughter of Mr, and Mrs, P. McManus, of South Casino, and Mr. John Austin Foley, of Goulburn.^[6]

Austin Wilfred Foley, son of Mary and Michael, was born at Cullerin in 1890.

In 1918 he married Annie McManus at Casino in Northern NSW. Annie was born at Casino in 1898, daughter of Peter McManus and Martha Stone, married at Casino in 1899.

Austin's and Annie's seven children, Daphne, Joseph, Aubrey, Lorna, John, Nola and Margaret were born at Casino between 1919 and 1931.

Austin died at Hogarth Range, Casino, in 1945 and is buried at Casino. Annie died at Casino in 1985 and is also buried at Casino. Of Austin's and Annie's children, Margaret died in 1943, John died in 1949, Joseph died in 1974, Aubrey died in 2001 and all are buried at Casino; and Daphne died in 1987 and is buried in Brisbane in Queensland. ^[7]
