Research Notes
In the Dutchess Deeds book Vol 18 pg 242 we find Henry Mead & Ruth, his wife of Stanford, Dutchess Co, NY, on the 10th of May 1800 selling 110 acres of land to Ezra Luther, also of Stanford, for 700 Pounds.[4] The very next entry is
Henry Mead & wife Ruth of North East selling 20 acres of land in North East, Dutchess Co., NY to Ezra Luther of Stanford on June 6th, 1800 for the sum of one shilling & 6 pence. I believe this to be land he acquired from the death of his father, Elisha.[5]
