Joseph was born in 1904. He was the son of Roger Mealey and Jane Mealey. He passed away in 1965.

JOSEPH S MEALEY Eastport - Joseph S Mealey, 61, died Sunday at a Bangor hospital following a long illness. He was born at Eastport, April 22, 1904, the son of Roger and Jane Mealey. He attended Eastport schools and worked as a builder of wharves, as a carpenter and on heavy construction work. He was an ardent sportsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hilda B Mealey of Eastport; one son, Carroll L Mealey of Lubec; one daughter, Sue Carol Mealey of Eastport; one brother, Robert Mealey of Eastport; one sister, Mrs. Lulu Dunlop of Eastport; one half-brother, Walter Mealey of Eastport; two half-sisters Mrs. Lillian Grant of Eastport and Mrs. Ruth Fountain of Waltham, Mass.; four step-sisters, Mrs. Catherine Aberle of Wellesley, Mass., Mrs. Margaret Follis, Mrs. Arlene Mitchell and Mrs. Helen Hicks all of Eastport; 2 step-brothers John Craig and James Craig both of Eastport; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Ferris Funeral Home at Eastport with the Rev. Robert Quayle III officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Eastport. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
