Daughter of Jacob Hewes Mendenhall (1813-1892) and Hannah Worrilow Newlin (1819-1873).[1] She is the 8th born of 13 children. Siblings are; Sarah, Edward, Elizabeth, William. Esther, Jane, Mary, Jacob, Anna, Charlotte, Newlin and Henry.[2]
