Margaret was born 30 Nov 1822 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. She was the daughter of Alexander Menmuir (abt.1790-) and Ann Kinnear (1791-).[1]

In 1871 Margaret was living at Parkend, Stichill, Roxburghshire with her husband and six children. [3]
In 1881 Margaret was living at Coachman's House, Dunblane, Perthshire with her daughter Anne, Anne's husband and child. [4]
In 1891 Margaret was living with her husband and one daughter at East Lodge, Stichill. [5]
In 1901 Margaret was living with her husband, daughter and grand daughter at Main Street Gordon, Berwickshire. [6]
