Karl Merkatz was an Austrian actor.
He was born in 1930 in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria. He married Martha Metz in 1956.
He was chairman of the human rights group "SOS Mitmensch" from 1999 to 2001.
He passed away in the year 2022 in Irrsdorf, Straßwalchen, Land Salzburg, Austria.
