Charles Frederick Merrell was born January 1879 at St Saviours Southwark Newington London to James F Merrell and Sarah Merrell.

1881 - Census - Charles first appears age 2 living with his parents, sister Jane & brother Thomas George (entered as George), at 4 Windsor Place.

1891 - Census - Charles age 12 is living with parents and siblings at 173 Sayer Street.

1901- Census has Charles age 22yrs living with his parents and siblings at 10 Turquand Street, Newington, London.

1911 - Census has Charles with sister Jane and brother Thomas living at 20 Fentiman Rd Kennington. Presumably their parents are now deceased as they are not listed.

1913 - 22 January 1913 Marriage of Charles Frederick Merrell age 34, Linotype Operator of 20 Fentiman Rd, father James Merrell, occupation Machine Manager - to Ellen Rebecca Nash age 32 of 120 Newington Butts, father Walter Nash occupation coach builder. Marriage at The Parish Church, Kennington London, witnessed by Ellen's sister Beatrice Nash, father Walter Nash, and Charles brother Thomas Merrell.

1913 - October, birth of son Kenrick Charles Merrell at Lambeth.

1925 - Birth of son Peter Anthony J Merrell at Lambeth.

1929 - Electoral roll shows registered to vote at 120 Newington Butts, but "abode" is listed as 67 Alderbrook Rd Wandsworth.

1939 Register - shows Charles and wife Ellen both living at 67 Alderbrook Road.

1943 - 23rd October - Death of wife Ellen Rebecca (Nash) Merrell of 67 Alderbrook Road, Balham, London.

1955 - 13 July - Death of Charles Merrell at Kings College Hospital.
