Biography

Felix was born in 1875 to Antonio María Maestas and María Andrea Maes.[1] In 1894, he married Placida Cortez[2] and they had one known son, Felipe. By 1920 Placida had either died or divorced him because he was married to María de Jesus Trujillo, his brother's widow, and they were living with her three children with his brother, and her two children with an unknown father (possibly Felix).[3] Felix may have died in 1930.[4]

Research Notes

  1. The 1900 U.S. Census lists his name as Cantaliro Mestas.[5] It is difficult to read his given name because someone wrote over the last part but you can still make it out.
