Obituary.-Mr. Orend Mester, a- very old resident of the town and district, passed away on Monda) about I0 o'clock at the ripe old age of 81. For many years he was a railway employee until the age limit caused his retirement to the seclusion of his home. His health gave way some time after, and years of continued suffering rendered him helpless and an invalid. He was a native of Bremen, Germany, and had lived about here for over 50 years. He leaves a widow and a family of four daughters and one son. Mrs. T. W. Plumb and Mrs. C. Royal, of Sydney, Mrs. C.Walmsley, of Cooma, and Miss Mester, of Gunning, are the daughters, and Mr. Henry Mester,of Grenfell, is the son. The remains were interred in the general cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. H. H. Crigan officiating at the graveside. "
