Biography

Ralph was born in 1890. He was the son of William Mewhorter and Rachel Cline. He passed away in 1927.

Marriage:

1. He married He married Delia Raish on 22 November 1907 in Ashland, Ashland, Wisconsin. Their children were Esther Mae Mewhorter (1913–1986), Viola Jeanette Mewhorter (1916–1968) and Clarence Edward Mewhorter (1917–2003). They divorced by 1921.
2. He married Myrtle May Tainter in 1921 in Wisconsin. Their children were Margaret Cecilia Mewhorter (1921–1993), Dorothy Mewhorter (1923–1998) and Shirley Anne (Mewhorter) Falatick (1924–2002).

Ralph Mewhorter Meets His Death by Electrocution. Immediate death resulted when Ralph Mewhorter, formerly of Radisson and the town of Hunter, came in contact with a high voltage wire of an electrical high line which he was working upon last Friday, the fatal accident occurring in New York state where Ralph had been residing for the past several years.

While he and his brother, John, were doing some work upon the electrical line upon which they were employed, they were both knocked down from the force of the voltage with which they came in contact, Ralph being killed at once and John receiving only minor burns, and being able to accompany the remains of his deceased brother to the old home at Radisson where they arrived Tuesday.

The deceased has lived practically all of his life in Sawyer County, being reared to manhood in the Radisson community and also residing a number of years ago in the town of Hunter where for a while he was one of the town supervisors.

Ralph passed away on 23 December 1927 in Sherburne, Chenango, New York followed with burial at the Radisson Cemetery in Radisson, Sawyer County, Wisconsin.
