Biography

The daughter of Johann Herman Meyer (1849-1913) and Anna Fredericka Meiners (1858-), Caroline Meyer was born in Sharon Township, Michigan[citation needed] in 1896, residing there with her family.[1] In 1910, Caroline and her family lived in Manchester Township, where her father rented farm land.[2] Her siblings included:

  4. Frederick Henry Meyer (1893-1972)
  5. Albert Frederick Meyer (1895-1971)

  8. Henry C. Meyer (1904-1967)

Caroline married Carl Francis Schwab, marrying in Manchester Township, Michigan on August 22, 1917[3] and having six known children together. They made their home together in Bridgewater Township, Michigan, farming.[4][5][6] By 1950, Caroline and her family had moved to Manchester Township, Michigan.[7]

Widowed in 1980,[8] Caroline Schwab passed away in Saline, Michigan[9] at the age of 86.[10] She is buried at Saint Mary's Catholic Church cemetery in Manchester, Michigan.[11]
