Biography

Leonora was born as Leonora Meyers in Russia 10 April 1892. Some records show her maiden name as Meyers; others, including Sid Luft's Social Security Application, show her maiden name as Krasnakurzky.^[1] Census data indicates that she emigrated to the United States in 1900.

She was married to Norbert Luft about 1914 most likely in New York.^[2] They were the parents of two children, Sid and Pearl, and later divorced.

A newspaper clipping from 1953: "Sid Luft's Mom, Mrs. Leonora Luft, from Miami, Florida, is visiting with Sid and Judy Garland."^[3]

She died in Los Angeles 18 July 1971.^[4][5]
