Biography

Emily was born in Broadwater, Sussex on 22 February 1870. She is the daughter of George Miles and Sarah Letitia Brown. Emily's christening was on 3 April 1970. Her mother Sarah died when Emily was about 6 yrs old.

On 17 April 1892, Emily married Alfred Dinnage in Heene (Worthing), Sussex. They would have 2 children but their son Alfred who was born in 1894 would only live until 1898. Their daughter Winifred was born in 1899.

At the time of the 1939 England Register, Emily was shown to be 'incapacitated' although we do not know the specifics.

Emily was widowed in 1943 and she passed away in Worthing on 5 February 1951 at age 80.
