The birth of Frank Herbert Mills was registered in Q1 1871 in the District of Frome, Somerset, son of Mills/Walters.[1]

In the 1871 Census he was resident at Frome, Somerset, age 0, with parents Frances and Emma.

In the 1881 Census he was resident at Marlborough, Wiltshire, age 10, with parents Frank and Emma, his place of birth recorded as Frome, Somerset.

Frank Herbert Mills Joined the 5th Royal Irish Lancers at Devizes, Wiltshire, on 28 Feb 1893, as a Private. His Attestation stated that he had been born in the parish of St Mary Marlborough, WIltshire, and that he was 20 years of age. He served just over 9 years and then nearly three years in reserve and was discharged at Pretoria on 27 Feb 1905. He was awarded the South Africa Medal.[2]

Frank Herbert Mills age 38, bachelor, Groom of Marlborough, married on 07 July 1911 at St Mary Marlborough, Wiltshire, Lily Louisa Fishlock age 24, spinster of Marlborough. Their fathers were Francis Mills (deceased), Blacksmith, and Albert Fishlock, Carter.[3]
