Janetta was christened on 4 June 1826, at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.^[1] She was the daughter of John Milne and Margaret Cowie.

Janetta married John McGregor (1823-1899) on 13 October 1850, at Peterhead, Aberdeen, Scotland.^[2] Some of their children were:

She passed away on 2 February 1909, at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
