Dr John Milner was the son of William Milner and Mary Glover. His father was Collector of the Customs at Poole, Dorset.
He was mentioned in the will of his father, William Milner dated 16 May 1765, which stated, "As to my son Doctor John Milner & my son George Milner I have not given any thing in this my Will as they have had more than their share of my small fortune."[1]
