Biography

George William was born in 1858/9 in Wednesbury, Staffs. His birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1859. He was the son of William Minifie and Harriet (Webber) Smallman.^[1]

In the 1891 census William was living with his widower step-father in Stockton on Tees, Durham. He was a Steam-engine Maker-fitter.^[2]

He died at the age of 36 in 1895 in Stockton upon Tees. The death was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1895.^[3]
