Moses was born about 1755. He is the son of William Mitchell. He married: 1800/12/30, Mitchell, Moses & Dilley Geer, b. William Mitchell, Wilkes Co NC. (Wilkes Co formed 1777 from Surry Co NC)

In 1799, Moses Mitchell has 2 grants, Warren County Kentucky, and shows in tax lists 1803-1807, when Nicholas Mitchell, Moses Mitchell, and William Mitchell are listed as land owners Sinking Creek of Warren County Kentucky.
