Biography
Charles Henry Mitchell was born on November 26, 1867 in DuPage Township, Will, Illinois.[1] He was the son of John Mitchell and Susan Roberts.
Charles married Mary 'Alice' Robbins (1871-1919) January 11, 1893 in Iroqurois, Illinois.[2] They had 4 children with 3 living in 1900.

- Blanche M (Mitchell) Winslow (1896-1984)
- John Robbins Mitchell (1899-1985)[3]
They lived in Astesia Township, Iroqurois, Illinois in 1900. No occupation listed in 1900 census.[4]
Charles moved to a Farm in Dawson Township, Greene, Iowa on March 1, 1901.
They were on their farm in Dawson, Greene, Iowa in 1910, with their children, Eula-15, Blanch-13, and John R-10.[5]
His wife Mary Alice passed away on July 18, 1919, in Churdan, Iowa, at the age of 48. They had been married 26 years.
He died at the age of 77, on January 6, 1945 and was buried in the Highland Township Cemetery' in Churdan, Greene, Iowa.[1]
