MOORE.—May 19, at his residence, Nau-Mae, De Milhau-road, Hunter's Hill, Arthur Kingston Moore (late R.N.), dearly loved husband of Sophia Charlotte Moore, and third son of the late Robert Waters Moore (F.R.C.S., London, First Colonel Surgeon, Adelaide. South Australia), in his 70th year (suddenly).

MR. A. K. MOORE.

Mr. Arthur Kingston Moore, one of the founders of the New South Wales branch of the Navy League, and for many years an alderman of Hurstville Council, died on Saturday.

Mr. Moore spent his early vears in the Royal Navy, later taking up civil engineering and surveying. He assisted in surveying the line between Mudgee and Wallerawang. His articles on naval questions and rose-growing (on which he was regarded as an authority) were well known. Together with the late Mr. Alfred Milson and Mr. F. Hixson, he was responsible for the formation of the New South Wales branch of the Navy League, and also for the war effort known as "Jack's Day."

He is survived by Mrs. Moore, two daughters, and one son.
