Wells, possible 2nd marriage. US Appt, of Postmaster, 24 Oct. 1848, Hatter Shop, Itawamba, MS. 1850 Census, Itawamba, MS: Joseph G Moore 53, Sarah 54, Sarah 19, Hiram 17, Cherry 15, Sibba 13, Wellington 19. 1860, 2 April; Mississippi Homestead and Cash Entry Patents: Joseph G Moore, 160 acres, Issued. Joseph was dead at this point. Could another member of the family be involved? Most likely would be Sarah and Hiram. Two sons possibly killed in Civil War: Hiram and J Wellington Moore. It appears that Henry went to Texas after his father died? The Wallace Family of Moore Co., NC is in charge of a DNA Project for the whole of Moore Co.
