During the 1861 Census, at the age of 43, she was in Cratfield, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom with her in-laws; Ezekiel Short (72) and Rachael Short (82), her husband; William Short (45) and their children; Ernest Short (13), Orlando (11), Mary Anne Short (9), Andrew Short (8), Harrison Julia Short (3).[5]
During the 1871 Census, at the age of 55, she was in East Greenwich, London, England, United Kingdom with her husband; William Short (56) and children; Harriett Short (21), Arthur Short (18), and Julia Short (13).[6]
