David passed away on 1 August 1946, aged 67.

David's baptism has his name as what looks like David Hebler Moran son of James and Isabelle N. Moran (source Ida Reed's transcribed Wesleyan Methodist Baptisms)
On 1881 census he is recorded as David O. Moran age 1. 1901 is David H. Moran. Middle name is believed to be Hostler. He was named after his uncle David Hostler, who married his Aunt Mary Moran. The original pronounciation of the name Hostler was Ostler therefore it is likely the 1881 census middle initial "O" reflects the pronounciation with the silent "H".
David and Pearl and children lived in McGarry Flats which is between Bird's Creek and Maynooth, ON. which are all a little north of Bancroft.
One of their sons was in the armed forces for many years and a grandson was a physician.
